The blue VU meters and the green backlit lettering. Two lights, and the black chassis is recognisable across a room without reading a single letter. Add the Unity Coupled Circuit, patented at the very beginning and still in service, and the MC275 of 1961 — a valve amplifier still in production today, which almost never happens in this industry.

What we made of it

The first HiFi Lovers pair, a hand-painted Dunk Low carrying the blue of the VU meters, the green of the logo and the VU scale itself.
